Elma Godwin is a Nigerian-born actress, TV personality, producer, and media entrepreneur, known for her charm, signature birthmark, and captivating screen presence. A natural entertainer, Elma made her TV debut in 2013 as a presenter and brand ambassador with Spice TV Africa, interviewing personalities across over 15 countries and featuring in film projects, Bandits, The Accidental Spy, and Birthmark.
Driven by a deeper creative calling, Elma honed her craft at the prestigious New York Film Academy in New York and Los Angeles, where she trained in both acting and film production.
In 2020, right after film school, she launched EG Studios, a Lagos-based media and content consulting firm, marking the milestone with the release of their debut short film.
Under her leadership, EG Studios has evolved into a production house responsible for “Grooming Talent Hunt” – a popular talent show that discovers and nurtures emerging performers. Now in its sixth year, the show has seen Elma serve as both judge and host, guiding contestants from nationwide auditions to a celebrated grand finale.
While motherhood led to a brief pause from her daily TV life, Elma is returning with renewed voice and vision in “The Elma & Friends Podcast” which she shares on her youtube. The show promises real conversations, creative storytelling, and a platform for rising voices.
Elma is also a passionate advocate for the autistic community and market women in local economies, using her platform to spotlight their resilience and stories.
Ms Godwin sits on the board of Trustees, Grooming Endowment Fund.
